Hard parts.
fixReal-time sync consistency across distributed users
Implemented WebSocket-based synchronization with operational transformation (OT) and conflict resolution. Added optimistic UI updates. Achieved 99.97% sync accuracy with <200ms latency.
fixScaling WebSocket connections for 10k+ concurrent users
Migrated to horizontal scaling with Redis pub/sub, implemented connection pooling, and added load balancing. Successfully handled 15k concurrent connections.
fixDatabase performance degradation with complex queries
Implemented query optimization, added database indexing strategy, and created materialized views for analytics. Query times dropped from 4.2s → 340ms.
fixUser churn from feature complexity
Redesigned onboarding with contextual tours, simplified default views, and hid advanced features behind toggles. Churn dropped to 4%.
